- Lacaze*: Village designated a "Petite Cité de Caractère" (Small Town of Character).
(Visit the château; dine at Le Bercail or Le Fief. Various accommodation options available in the village).
- Gijounet*: Picturesque little village.
- Lacaune-les-Bains: The "charcuterie" (cured meat) capital. (Visit the Oberti workshop and the Old Lacaune Museum; dine at Le Relais de Fuziès).
- Saint-Sever-du-Moustier: An unusual artistic village in the spirit of the "Facteur Cheval" (Palais Idéal). (Sculpture garden, Musée des Arts Buissonniers).
- Combret*: Hilltop village designated a "Petite Cité de Caractère" (flora trail; dine at L'Auberge de la Tour).
