A scenic driving tour with stops allowing you to explore some of the Sidobre’s famous rock formations and iconic heritage sites on foot. Ideal for those with limited mobility (average of 20 minutes of walking per site).
50 km Sidobre Scenic Tour – Tarn
- Lacrouzette: Granite industry hub (Notre-Dame du Granit Church). Dining at *Le Lys* or *Pizza Mimosa*; various accommodation options available in the village.
- Pic des Fourches: Features the "Peyro Clabdo" trail (short 10-minute loop or longer 20-minute loop) and a mineral and fossil collection next to the granite "Sphinx" rock. (Free hiking guide available for download). Summer dining at *Le Vieux Chantier*.
- Crémaussel*: "Sentier des Merveilles" (Trail of Wonders) short loop (20 minutes – free hiking guide available for download).
- Ferrières: Museum of Protestantism (covering the period from the Reformation to secularism); check out the giant "Game of the Goose" board game next to the washhouse. Dining available at *Auberge du Tilleul* in Guyor.
- Vialavert: *Maison du Sidobre* (Sidobre Visitor Centre) featuring an exhibition on granite craftsmanship, plus the "Sentier des Immortels" (Trail of the Immortals) (20 minutes – free hiking guide available for download).
- Lac du Merle: Summer dining at the *Mini-Lys* guinguette (open-air café).
- Chaos de la Rouquette: Viewpoint overlooking the "river of rocks" from the roadside, or a short loop trail (20 minutes – free hiking guide available for download).
- Lafontasse: Missègle (one of the last remaining knitting workshops in France); shop and workshop tours available by reservation.
- Burlats*: Charming medieval village on the banks of the Agout River (Adélaïde Pavilion, *L'Art et la Matière* craft centre, St. Pierre Collegiate Church). Various types of accommodation available in the village.
