Day 1:
On arrival in the land of rocks and rivers, you can stop off at the Maison du Sidobre to find out more about this unique destination in the Tarn. Then head to Brassac-sur-Agout to explore the village’s historic trail or take a stroll along the river (choose between a 2-hour hike or a short 1-hour walk).
At lunchtime, you’re invited to dine at Le Café de Paris restaurant, where you’ll enjoy the chef’s ‘canaille’ cuisine.
In the afternoon, enjoy a glimpse of the Sidobre as you wander along a few trails that will take you past numerous granite landmarks (several short walks such as the ‘Sentier des Merveilles’, Peyro Clabado, Lac du Merle, or the 3-hour ‘Rocs de Crémaussel’ hike).
For your evening and overnight stay: a cosy retreat, worthy of the cottages seen in classic Anglo-Saxon romantic films. You’ll love the Ostalon de Sénagats on the banks of the Gijou. Enjoy a table d’hôte dinner on site.
Day 2:
After a hearty breakfast, set off on a short, invigorating walk from your accommodation, either towards Sénagats via the stone path (20 mins return) or towards Lacaze to explore this charming little town and its Renaissance castle on the banks of the Gijou (a historical walk of around 30 mins).
To round off the morning, relax at the Aquamonts wellness centre in St Pierre de Trivisy, which has been exclusively reserved for you. A moment of pure well-being!
At lunchtime, you’re invited to the charming little restaurant, Le Grillon de l’Horloge, in the mountain village of Vabre.
To round off your stay, head to the land of troubadours and courtly love in the charming little medieval village of Burlats. Discover the village’s historical trail, or take a stroll along the river towards the old narrow-gauge railway line, or follow the ‘Chemin des Fontaines’ and the path to the Paradis waterfall…
You’ll also be just a few minutes’ walk from other remarkable sites in the Sidobre region, such as the Chaos de la Rouquette, if you fancy a bit of extra walking.
