Prepare your discovery of the Sidobre

  • A few tips to start your stay in Sidobre & Valleys:

No. 1 : For a first visit, we recommend stopping by a tourist information office. Our destination has 6 offices, including 2 open all year round at the Maison du Sidobre and in St Pierre de Trivisy.
All the facets of our destination will then be presented to you.
No. 2: Wear good shoes and clothing suited to the time of day and season.
No. 3: Set off with maps or GPX tracks! The Sidobre massif alone covers more than 100 km². Our destination extends across 16 municipalities and offers more than 70 routes.
No. 4: Respect nature and adopt the right habits*! You will not find bins on the trails, so remember to take your waste with you…
No. 5: Remember to book your activities, online when possible, as places may be limited.

  • Tips if you come with very young children:

No. 1: Bring a baby carrier, as few trails are accessible with pushchairs. You can rent a baby carrier at the Maison du Sidobre (€5/day).
No. 2: Remember to take water and a small snack for your hungry youngsters!
If needed, you will find restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, cafés and more in most of our villages.

  • Tips for visitors with reduced mobility:

No. 1 : Use the PRM guide for Sidobre & Valleys to find the list of accessible sites and accommodation.

No. 2: Contact the Handicap Rêve et Liberté association to rent an HPPlus wheelchair for €5/day, allowing access to certain forest sites.

  • Tip if you come with a dog

No. 1: No problem, pets are welcome, including at the Tourist Office; just remember to keep them on a lead.
