Access
The start of the gorges is relatively accessible from downstream, passing by the swimming pool and the tennis court. Other access points are less convenient and require a walk
from the areas where parking is available, often at the end of the tracks, on either the right or left bank.
Fishing Techniques
Single-line fishing; all techniques permitted. Fishing season runs from the second Saturday in March to the third Sunday in September.
Two sections with specific regulations:
A catch-and-release section from the confluence with the Costo Laxo stream
upstream to the confluence with the Costes stream downstream.
Toc fishing or fly fishing. Barbless hooks or hooks with flattened barbs. All brown trout caught must be released immediately.
No-kill section from the Pontviel dam 3,000 metres downstream to a place known as Sécun. Fly fishing only. All brown trout must be released immediately

Basket Gallery
Willow is the current year’s growth of the willow tree, consisting of supple twigs. This tree, found in cool, damp areas of the northern hemisphere, comprises 350 species. Along the Agout and its tributaries, you cannot fail to admire the tree’s luminous foliage. Traditionally, men would harvest the supple willow shoots after the leaves had fallen to make baskets during the off-season, when work in the fields lay dormant. An interesting collection is on display on the first floor of Brassac Town Hall.
