Between Castres and Lacaune, 10 minutes from Brassac and 2 minutes from Ferrières, the mysterious Sidobre hides many secrets. As you drive down the winding road from Guyor to Ferrières (D66), at the bottom of this wild, green valley, you suddenly see an enormous building from another era: Le Moulin de Record, a seigneurial mill that has survived the centuries with its mechanisms intact. Put to sleep in 1958, it was gently awakened in 2019 with a hydroelectric turbine to produce green electricity and give this mill a new vocation. Gabriele and Jean-Pierre offer you their comfortable gîtes and chambres d'hôtes for a stay in the heart of nature, to the rhythm of birdsong and the murmur of the river, in a relaxing setting where time seems to have stood still. Fish for trout below the gîte (March-September) or American crayfish from June to September. A guided tour of the Moulin is offered during your stay. Jean-Pierre will plunge you into the eventful past of our Mill, which is totally involved in local history, from the Albigensian Crusade to the War of Religions. A journey through time awaits you.
